Our 6th Grade ELA classes wrote thank you notes to First Responders in Hope Mills to commemorate the 9/11 Anniversary. On Thursday, September 19, representatives from the Hope Mills Police Department, the Hope Mills Fire Department, and the Cumberland County EMS came to SVMS and were presented with the letters our students had so kindly written. Six students were chosen to read their letters out loud. Each branch of the service organizations talked with a cafeteria full of 6th graders about what their job is all about and how much they appreciated the support of our school. We want to give a huge shout out to all First Responders who make our lives better every day.
