Cumberland County Schools is introducing state-of-the-art OPENGATE weapons detection systems in schools for the 2024-2025 academic year as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance school safety and create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. At SVMS we went live with our system on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 with a very successful launch. Thank you to all involved. Everyone entering our school will be subject to screening by the weapons detection system.
